Heads up! In honor of Veterans Day, admission to all National Parks will be free for everybody over the three-day weekend. Veterans Day is actually Sunday, November 11, but Monday, November 12 will be considered a holiday for most federal employees. This is a great chance to visit a National Park you've never been to before, or get out and see what your favorite park looks like in fall/winter. (It's already winter up here in Alaska, but I understand that some parts of the country actually experience a season known as "fall." You lucky ducks!)
You can watch a video from a Marine that now works for the Park Service right here. And to those of you who are, or have been in the military: Thank you for your service.
