I'm happy to announce that for the first time, About Hiking is participating in About.com's Reader's Choice Awards! This is a chance to let the world know about that awesome piece of hiking gear that you just can't live -- or at least have much fun -- without. We're accepting nominations through February 11, 2013. Then it's time to vote! The winners will be announced on March 27, 2013.
I'd like to draw your attention to two categories in particular: Favorite Hiking Trail and Best Hiking App. My reasons for highlighting the first category are pretty obvious, right? If I haven't already hiked the best trail out there, I want to know where I should be headed next!
As for the second, I've already admitted that high technology is a relatively new addition to my hiking arsenal. Not only will you be nominating (and then later voting) to determine the best hiking app of them all, you'll also be deciding which hiking app I should review next -- so click through and nominate your favorites today.
